Appointed to the position to start the company and build the framework for GFS to become a supplier of quality concrete & masonry fastening + anchoring products to the Australian & New Zealand construction industries. Responsible for sourcing quality manufacturing partners through-out Asia that can meet international manufacturing standards while meeting GFS's strict criteria of delivering on time and at a competitive price. Development of all POS materials and collateral, policies & procedures, and compliance issues. Having established mutually beneifical supply relationships in China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Malaysia GFS has developed strong distribution channels with leading wholesale and retail hardware outlets in our target markets. GFS currently supplies over 70 products to the Australian market and based on recent national distribution contract GFS will soon introduce a further 200+ products. GFS has recently been awarded the exslusive contract to work with Atom Supply, Australia's largest supplier to Mining and Off Shore Petroleum operations. GFS has secured distribution contracts with national hardware retailers such as Rexel, John R Turks, MJS FLoor Coverings, AFS, and are also a part of the HBT Buying Group, Australia's largest supplier to indpenedant retail hardware stores. The Tasmanian Gourmet Food Co's (TGFC) initial mission was to promote select Tasmanian products at local Farmers Markets in the SE Queensland area. After 12 months of operation the business has grown from 2 - 12 markets per month and employs a number of people locally. Due to the rapid growth in demand for Tasmanian gourmet products the TGFC is presently developing a comprehensive "one -stop-shop" eCommerce platform where all Tasmanian gourmet products can be sourced and purchased. Primarily the TGFC is focused on developing Tasmania's brand foot print and distribution opportunities into Australia's mainland states and Asian markets by facilitating online sales direct to the producers. In select instances the TGFC acts as distributor for a number of Tasmanian products.
