Surf instructor responsible for leading daily beginner and intermediate lessons to remote reef and beach island locations whilst ensuring client safety, fun and satisfaction. Additionally responsible for: · Videoing students with Go-Pro and conducting fun evening analysis of their performances; · Leading guided reef one-to-one lessons, at short notice, to more experienced and private clients; · Understanding client needs through delivering varied lesson planning and dynamic warm up routines; · Taking clients to BBQ dinners and organising salsa evenings; and · 24/7 housekeeping responsibilities for one of the Quiksilver Surf Houses. During the evenings I delivered theory class presentations on oceanography, safety and meteorology aimed at improving the understanding of our students, which helped accelerate their learning and competency in the surf zone.
