Work History

Job Title Company When?
Sales Engineer Precision Punch and Plastics From March 2013 To Current
At Precision Punch & Plastics I work primarily on the sales desk taking calls, emails and faxes from current and potential customers. I work with our customers to discuss pricing and lead times for their requested materials or custom fabricated parts. I am in charge of out sourcing material if we do not carry it in stock and also out source jobs to the most competitive bidder if it is something beyond our capabilities to produce in house. I have gained valuable quoting and purchasing experience from my current position and also understand the need to be very detailed oriented and have the ability to multitask when working with multiple customers at once.
1st Asst. Department Manager Mnenards, Inc. From April 2012 To March 2013
While working as a 1st Assistant Department Manager for Menards, Inc. at one of their busiest stores, I was able to gain valuable retail sales and customer service experience. My job required the ability to balance the responsibilities of managing the department and its workers while still being able to meet our sales goals. On a regular basis I would delegate tasks to my full-time and part-time employees to complete tasks as required from our corporate merchandising team on time. I developed working relationships with outside vendor representatives to gain valuable product knowledge in order to better help answer our customers questions and concerns. In all I managed 3 full-time and 6 part-time employees and contributed to department sales totaling over $2,000,000.
1 Asst. Department Manager Menards, Inc. From September 2011 To April 2012
To gain my promotion from a part-time sales team member to a 1st Assistant Department Manager I was required to complete the Menards Manager in Training Program while simultaneously taking on the duties a manager would have. What made my job at the Eau Claire West store such a great experience was that our store was the prototype model for what the rest of the stores would eventually look like. That meant any new products, services or merchandising plans were all completed first at our location before being approved to roll out everywhere. I personally was able to work with our merchandising team to tear down the old and set up the new according to the plans laid out. When issues came up my input was able to help fix those issues by providing feedback from customers and employees on what design/setup would best improve the shopping/working experience. Our store was also the preferred shopping store for our company CEO/President as well as other high ranking corporate executives which meant we were always held to the highest standards and had to set an example for our workers through our leadership and work ethic.
Sales Team Member Menards, Inc. From October 2008 To September 2011
I worked as a part-time sales team member in the Electrical department of a Menards store while attending college to help out financially. My duties and responsibilities were first and foremost to provide the best customer service I could. We were tasked to great every guest and offer our assistance and knowledge to help them make an informed buying decision. I was also responsible for keeping the shelves stocked full of product and neatly faced for a clean and organized appearance. I also helped to track inventory levels and organize our overstock to log and keep track of excess products not able to fit on the shelf. This job was my first retail sales experience and was twice awarded team member of the month award during my time as a part-time team member.
Food and Beverage Coordinator Madison Mallards Baseball Club From June 2005 To August 2007
Seasonal full-time employee for a Summer Collegiate Baseball League. I helped to manage the food and beverage inventories and ensured all areas of the stadium were continually resupplied throughout the games. Supervised over 25 part-time employees on a nightly basis, enforced the legal sales of alcohol and accounting for large quantities of cash. Contributed to back to back seasons with food and beverage sales surpassing $2 million dollars for the first time in team history. Coordinated with multiple food and beverage vendors to ensure proper product placement and availability on a nightly basis.
