Advertising agency with specialist Multi-Cultural capabilities. Full management of a Business Unit of 4 suits. Business management / senior relationship management, P&L, financial forecasting & billings for business unit. Additionally I founded and ran an innovations unit named “SketchBook” within the agency to drive breakthrough in client and agency initiative thinking.

Also took on the responsibility of managing the agency’s Social Media and digital presence through formally establishing a Social Media Team as the core to ensuring support and implementation of the SM strategy.

I worked alongside with the CEO in creating and driving business growth.
Group Account Director Grey World Wide From November 2007 To August 2011
Clients: Heineken, Amstel, Diageo (Cpt Morgan Spiced Gold, Tanqueray Gin & Cpt Morgan Black Label), Big Concerts, Heineken International (Mutzig, Primus, Turbo King, Maltina).

Managed the Cape Town office of Grey SA.

Over 4 years managed TTL accounts on 5 global brands and ATL accounts on 4 regionally positioned local beer brands for the Central African markets.

Significant new business win for the Cape Town office in the form of Big Concerts (South Africa's premier concert and event promoters).

Performed the Client Service function on the Metropolitan Life account – multinational life assurance company.

Responsibilities:
• overall day-to-day control of the office
• staff resourcing/management
• regional business demands including P&L control / billings
• service delivery while maintaining and developing client relationships
• development and implementation of a new business strategy

Achievements:
• Promoted to full Business Unit Director managing the Cape Town office of Grey South Africa
• Managed and led the team that established Heineken as the no1 premium beer in South Africa, and the 9th largest market globally.

Account Director DraftFCB From November 2005 To October 2007
Clients: Vodafone, Hunter’s Cider, Dept of Transport/SAPIA, Burchell Cider, Spur Restaurant Group.

Managed portfolio consisting of four clients with 5 brands. TTL account management: campaign development, TV, radio, print, press, activations in on and off trade, POS, design and branding, experiential and sponsorship.

Additionally I was part of the digital development unit formed within the FCB SA Group to pioneer digital integration with all of FCB’s communication offerings.

• management of a client service team / coordination of relevant “brand teams” within the agency
• day-to-day control of the primary client contacts
• client P&L control / invoicing/billing management

Achievements:
• Led the Team that launched the new Super 14 format in South Arica
• Led the Team that created one of Vodacom’s most successful BTL sponsorship properties.
