Summary of Experience

I have worked within the world of management for a combined total of 3 years.
First within the hospitality sector in a busy local restaurant, this taught me the basis of management in relation to suppliers, customers and staff.
I am currently working within a surf company as the Administration and Marketing manager. This has allowed me to put the skills learnt at university into practice. My contact ends Sept 30th and I am now looking to further my management career.

Working as administration and marketing manager directly under owner of the company I gained a wealth of practical knowledge in relation to running and managing a business. Daily duties include general administration tasks, market research and being innovative in ideas to attract new customer bases and maintain current clients. Company is currently expanding and I play a key role in setting up new headquarters and attracting attention to Adventure side of the business. Other responsibilities include general marketing and newsletter creation alongside customer relations and staffing.
Student Intern The Royal Bank of Scotland From March 2013 To August 2013
Working within the Metadata and Data Management and Profiling Divisions of the Data Architecture team I contributed to the ongoing work on the projects. I produced mandatory documents that have been circulated and reviewed within the project. I was responsible for creating and maintaining the weekly working group pack, this involved contacting the other members of the team for an update on the work that was in progress.

Gained experience on how to run a small business, this included stock taking, buying and selling, team management and promotions. Developed team working as well as supervisory skills and made key decisions while working under pressure and to deadlines. Sales and negotiation skills improved along with the ability to work with employees in all levels of the organisation. Knowledge gained including how to complete a weekly rota, salary details, inventories and customer relations.
