I have lifeguarded for the RNLI for the past five years. 2014 saw me become senior guard at Gwithian beach in Cornwall, one of the UK’s busiest beaches with up-to 10,000 visitors in the height of summer. I have a huge range of experience in a variety of critical first-aid situations as well as numerous challenging sea-states. This job has given me exceptional leadership skills but also the ability too work as an active and effective member of a team when necessary
Elite Surf Coach	Gwithian Academy of Surfing	From May 2010 To October 2014
Although Lifeguarding has been my main form of employment, for the past five years I have also held and used a surf-coaching qualification. Using my days off, I have been a valued member of the Gwithian Academy of Surfing coaching team. My large lifesaving skill set gives clients an un-paralleled level of safety cover during surfing lessons, a huge incentive for beginner surfers. Having spent so much time around the surf school environment I can deliver a friendly and effective lesson to clients of all abilities. Experience in private musical tuition has given me insight into the various types of way people learn, allowing me too cater for the needs of every client too ensure they gain the most from their surfing lesson.
