I am currently employed at Oceanline Surfboards, being trained how to design, shape and glass surfboards. I am also required to manage the front counter which includes the following duties: complete custom order forms specific to customer requirements, sell wetsuits, surfboards, and accessories to customers, answer questions about our products, handle all phone enquiries and quote on repairs. I work at Oceanline on weekends.
Guitar Teacher Private From January 2012 To Current
I am currently a private guitar tutor. I teach from my home in Quinns. I teach all age groups both acoustic and electric guitar. I find this job very rewarding - it never feels like work. I love being the influence for a younger generation and teaching them not only how to play guitar, but the importance of music and how making music can change your life. How writing music can be for fun, and also an outlet. Teaching is something that I will always do in my spare time as it is such a rewarding job.

Whilst at core surf, I was required to meet daily and weekly sales targets, provide exceptional customer service along side doing visual merchandising for the store. I was also required to re-stock the store as well as do stock-take. Whilst working at core surf I further developed my customer service skills and time management skills. I was required to cross/up-sell items and encourage customers to take advantage of sales. I learnt a lot about the retail industry and about the billabong group as a whole. I was required to do cash, and eftpos transactions, provide laybys and do returns. I learnt a lot about catering to the need of each individual customer and finding the right clothes to fit their price range, style interests and items that suit their body shapes. I left this job to Drive around Australia for 4/5 Months. I followed the south coats all the way to Cairns surfing the whole way.

My role is responsible for the organising of members’ accounts, along side the booking of vehicle inspections for both breakdown services and auto service bookings. I successfully meet a weekly and monthly target/quota of battery sales, membership sales, upgrade sales and total repair management sales. I am also responsible for handling any complaints or queries that come through to the RAC, and have them lodged and seen to by my peers. I operate a busy switchboard and regularly follow lawful procedures such as the Privacy act, where I am required to security check each individual caller. I often handle large sums of money over the phone and complete purchase orders and credit card transactions. Communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role to build a rapport with team members as well as customers to ensure each member is more then satisfied with our services and staff.
