Summary of Experience

I began involvement in the surf industry in 1973, working part time in a couple surf shops in VA Beach, VA. Took a 36 year hiatus as a police office/detective and federal agent. Upon retirement began working at local SUP & Surf Shops in management and provided SUP & Surf lessons, organized races and events. Through My experience with the U.S. EPA, I gained a valuable insight to the environmental laws and regulations as they apply to oceans, bays, rivers and marshes.

Duties included the leadership, planning, and conductivity of investigations and threat assessments of potential or suspected criminal violations of statutes related to Weapons of Mass Destruction (i.e., chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear materials). Designed and provided training related to counterterrorism investigative support, threat assessment, the processing of WMD and environmental crime scenes for evidence, conducting emergency response operations and incident management.
